Jim Benson
Jim Benson has been
one of the nation's most prominent
television historians for the past
two decades. As a writer, archivist,
researcher and on-air personality,
Jim has contributed his unique expertise
in classic TV to a wide variety of
television programs, including productions
for TV Land, Nick at Nite, CBS Entertainment,
and The Mystery Channel.
In 1997, Jim co-authored
Rod Serling's Night Gallery: An After-Hours
Tour, hailed as one of the finest
books ever written about a television
series, and served as creative consultant
on the Mystery Channel's Night Gallery
documentary, The Art of Darkness.
Jim's writing and thoughts
on classic TV and its influences have
appeared in dozens of publications,
including The Washington Post. Emmy
Magazine, TV Guide, The Twilight Zone
Magazine, and Television Chronicles.
On his radio show TV
Time Machine, as well as in print,
and on camera, Jim has conducted hundreds
of interviews with the finest stars
and behind-the-scenes artists from
the golden and silver age of television,
including Mel Brooks, Peter Falk,
Pat Boone and many more.
